THETA is the staking and governance coin of the Theta blockchain, built by Theta Labs (CEO Mitch Liu) for video delivery and, since 1 May 2024, EdgeCloud GPU computing. Its supply is fixed at 1 billion and gas is paid in a second coin, TFUEL. In Dec 2025 two former Theta Labs executives filed whistleblower lawsuits in Los Angeles alleging misleading partnerships and insider token sales. On 31 Oct 2026 one THETA cost C$0.2244. From 31 Jul 2026 to 31 Oct 2026 its price changed +29.0% in Canadian dollars, and it was 98.9% below its all-time high of C$19.65 set on 16 Apr 2021.^[1]
