Red flags and things to watch

2 red flags found
  • Red flag: A 6-of-9 multisig can take YFI's governance through a 17,280-block (about 2.4-day) timelock and then mint new YFI (contract code, 1 Nov 2026).[2, 3, 4]
  • Red flag: Yearn's yETH pool lost about US$9M to an accounting bug on 30 Nov 2025, and a legacy V1 vault lost about US$300K in Dec 2025.[10, 17]
  • Under YIP-90, stYFI stakers temporarily give up 10% of protocol revenue to repay yETH exploit victims.[17]
  • An Oct 2026 forum proposal would let YFI holders borrow treasury stablecoins against YFI on 5-year loans at 50% loan-to-value.[18]
