The short version

TIA pays fees, is staked and governs Celestia, a data-availability network: rollups pay it to publish their transaction data so anyone can check it. Celestia Labs, led by co-founder Mustafa Al-Bassam, builds it and has raised about US$155M from investors led by Bain Capital Crypto and Polychain. Fibre, a faster path that sends data straight to validators, went live on mainnet in Oct 2026. On 31 Oct 2026 one TIA cost C$0.6723. From 31 Jul 2026 to 31 Oct 2026 its price changed +49.5% in Canadian dollars, and it was 97.6% below its all-time high of C$28.13 set on 10 Feb 2024.[1]
