OptimismOP
The governance token of Optimism, the group behind OP Mainnet and the OP Stack used by Base.
The short version
OP is the governance token of the Optimism Collective, which runs OP Mainnet and the open-source OP Stack that powers other layer-2 networks such as Base, Unichain and World. The Optimism Foundation (Cayman Islands) and OP Labs (US) lead development. Since Feb 2026 a 12-month pilot has spent half of Superchain sequencer revenue on monthly OP buybacks, with the tokens going to the Collective treasury. On 31 Oct 2026 one OP cost C$0.1588. From 31 Jul 2026 to 31 Oct 2026 its price changed +32.9% in Canadian dollars, and it was 97.6% below its all-time high of C$6.58 set on 6 Mar 2024.[1]
