DogecoinDOGE
A proof-of-work coin started as a joke in 2013, with no supply cap.
The short version
Dogecoin is a proof-of-work coin created in December 2013 by Billy Markus and Jackson Palmer as a joke on the Doge meme. No company runs it; volunteer developers work under the Dogecoin Foundation, which ended House of Doge's exclusive partnership on 19 Oct 2026 and named Dogecoin Labs its new commercial partner. About 5.26 billion new DOGE are mined each year, with no cap. On 31 Oct 2026 one DOGE cost C$0.1055. From 31 Jul 2026 to 31 Oct 2026 its price changed +8.1% in Canadian dollars, and it was 88.1% below its all-time high of C$0.8878 set on 7 May 2021.[1]
