Bio ProtocolBIO
A decentralized-science platform where online communities fund biotech research and tokenize its intellectual property.
The short version
Bio Protocol funds biotech research through BioDAOs, online communities that raise money in protocol auctions and turn research results into tradable IP tokens; BIO stakers curate new BioDAOs and vote on funding. It was founded by Paul Kohlhaas and is tied to Molecule. Most trading is in Korea: Chainalysis counted US$2B of Korean-won BIO volume in the 12 months to June 2026. On 31 Oct 2026 one BIO cost C$0.0301. From 31 Jul 2026 to 31 Oct 2026 its price changed -7.0% in Canadian dollars, and it was 97.6% below its all-time high of C$1.28 set on 3 Jan 2025.[1]
