ApeCoin launched on 16 Mar 2022 alongside Yuga Labs' Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs, and is used in the Otherside metaverse and as gas on ApeChain, an Arbitrum-based network. A June 2025 vote ended ApeCoin DAO governance and began moving its treasury to ApeCo. All 1 billion APE are unlocked, and ApeChain fees ran about US$14-19K a month in 2026. On 31 Oct 2026 one APE cost C$0.1592. From 31 Jul 2026 to 31 Oct 2026 its price changed -16.1% in Canadian dollars, and it was 99.5% below its all-time high of C$34.19 set on 28 Apr 2022.[1]
